Presenting an engraved engagement ring can be a very romantic and thoughtful way of expressing one's love for another individual. In addition, an engraved engagement ring not only expresses one’s love and thoughtfulness, but an engraved engagement ring can symbolize the uniqueness of the couple's relationship.

For example some couples have chosen to place their initials on the band. These initials can be separated by a heart or other expression of devotion. One other surface part of the ring that can be utilized for the engraved message is the outermost part of the ring or the sides of the band. This particular idea is especially acceptable if the ring is thicker in size and allows for a greater surface area for the message to be etched.
